Terms of Use

Effective date: October 21, 2026 · Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and AKES Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17091947, with its registered office at Unit 501 Leroy House, 434-436 Essex Road, London, United Kingdom, N1 3FY (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Perde Tarih app and perdetarih.com (the “Service”). How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1. Accepting these Terms

By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old; if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

2. The Service

Perde Tarih lets you listen to stories about history. We may add, change or remove content and features over time, and some of them require a subscription (Section 7).

Features may differ between iPhone and Android, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

3. No account

The Service has no sign-in. Your settings and your access are tied to your installation of the app and, for a subscription, to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. If you delete the app or change phones, your settings may not come with you; a subscription can be restored on any device signed in to the same store account.

You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or as described at perdetarih.com/delete.

4. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease the app, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows that despite this restriction.

5. Content and intellectual property

The stories, recordings, texts, images, names and logos in the Service belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may listen to and read them in the Service for your own personal use. Without our written permission you may not record them, download them outside the app’s own features, copy, publish, broadcast or redistribute them, or use them to train or build any automated system.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service in breach of any law.
  • Do not interfere with or overload the Service, or try to gain unauthorised access to it, its servers or anyone else’s data.
  • Do not get around subscription restrictions, technical protections, or the checks that confirm requests come from the app.
  • Do not scrape, harvest or otherwise collect content from the Service by automated means.
  • Do not use the Service to build a competing product.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some content and features require a paid subscription, bought inside the app through the App Store or Google Play. The price, the billing period and what the subscription includes are shown before you confirm a purchase, in your own currency.

  • Automatic renewal — a subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and the store charges your account within the 24 hours before the period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
  • Free trials and introductory offers — if a plan includes one, its length and the price that follows it are shown before you buy. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription continues at the regular price. Where the store’s rules provide for it, any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Cancelling — cancel in your device’s settings: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds — purchases are handled by the store, and so are refunds: ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google as described at support.google.com/googleplay. We cannot refund store purchases ourselves. When you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may ask us how the purchase was used; by buying, you agree that we share the usage information described in our Privacy Policy with Apple for that request. Apple decides.
  • Price changes — if a subscription’s price changes, the store tells you beforehand and, where the law or the store’s rules require it, asks for your consent.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in. If you live in Türkiye, your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 are reserved.

8. If you got the app from the App Store

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Where these Terms do not cover something, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies to it, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If a third party claims that the app, or your use of it, infringes their intellectual property, we — not Apple — are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Disclaimers

The stories are told for general information and entertainment. We work to make them accurate, but they may simplify, interpret or dramatise historical events, and they are not a substitute for academic or professional sources.

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some countries do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, or if we must for legal reasons. If we stop providing the Service altogether, we will tell you in advance where we can. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as 5, 9, 10 and 12 — survive the end of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may bring a claim in its courts; if you live in Türkiye, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is reserved.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms, for example when the Service changes or the law requires it. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply.
